About Me

From a young age I’ve had an an intuitive understanding of the body’s energy and centre and how it works in movement.

Now a father, carer and martial arts coach, I also bring those experiences to my Shiatsu practise

25 years of Aikido practise has deepened my understanding of energy and body balance, as well as my relationship with the Japanese lineage of my practise

Becoming a parent began an ongoing journey of learning about regulation, autonomy and nurturing a safe environment for the whole family (everyone?) to grow

As I grow my Shiatsu practise, (I’m happy and relieved to have the privilege of offering) I feel privileged to offer my support to a wider circle of people

If my work and philosophy resonates with you, please do get in touch. I’d welcome the chance to discuss your needs and find out whether we might work together.

My Credentials

  • Holistic Acupressure certified

  • Fully insured

  • Aikido third degree black belt and Head Instructor of Hallamshire Aikido

Philosophy

I believe in Shiatsu healing as a partnership

Our bodies hold tension for all sorts of reasons, and release it when they are ready. My role as a practitioner is not to fix or force that process. I aim to create a calm, welcoming space that invites it to happen.

I bring my expertise and intuition to the partnership, but most important is to understand your own experience of the difficulties you’re having, and how you would like to be supported.

That’s why I will always take time to listen to what you need before we begin, and invite you to offer feedback at any time.
